Welcome to my little corner of the world.
Relax, and have a seat…

If you like tales with immersive world-building and misfit characters you’ll grow to love, overcoming the odds stacked against them (with a dash of humor thrown in) then you’ve come to the right place!

As for me, I’m the product of a traveling family, who even lived in Italy for 6 years. I love exploring the unknown, whether it be in a forest, inside a forgotten castle, or within the pages of a book. I write faith-based stories designed to both entertain and inspire, creating worlds that one can explore and quickly become lost within… Be careful you don’t lose your way. 😉

Below are some of my books, but you can learn more about me and all my published works over at my main website: eerawls.com.

Author Bio:

In short, Rawls is a thinker who ponders why a raven is like a writing desk, a Tolkien fan who wishes she were an Elf but is more like a Hobbit, and an adventurer who loves waffles and roaming the great outdoors! She runs on coffee, cuddly cats and the beauty of nature to keep the story wheels of her mind turning as she writes.

God has guided her every step of the way along this path called life. All the credit goes to Him, for without His help and encouragement she could do nothing.

  1. E., I thought you might be more likely to get my reply to your question here! You asked what font size I ended up using in my print formatting. I used size 10, Palatino Linotye. I think it looks nice and is a good size for me. I have good eye sight (12 years after LASIK, still doing pretty good!), but not great. My book is 5.25″ x 8″; it is 346 pages altogether. I have a 0.63″ gutter; 0.76″ top margin; 0.68″ bottom margin; 0.22″ inside margin; 0.52″ outside margin with ‘mirrored margins’ (which one should do for book compilation).

      • I hope they work for you! I just spent the entire evening trying to format for Smashwords. For some reason it seems much more complicated than Amazon and CreateSpace. haha I doubt it is, but I wish they were all standard. C’est la vie!

        • Smashwords, yes XD the formatting is quite a pain as I learned with Bleeding Heart. The reason is Smashwords turns the ebook into many different types/formats of files, not just an epub file like Amazon and Createspace does. But it’s also the reason your ebook can reach online stores and places around the world 🙂 At least, that’s my understanding of it so far.

  3. Wow! I only learned just now that you have this book! I’m adding it on my GR to-read list and once I fix my credit card acct, I’m swiping it to get a purchase. Will you be publishing another book soon? 😀

    • Thank you so much, Trisha!!! *virtual hug* Bleeding Heart is a collection of all of the poems, riddles, and little stories I wrote since college. I hope you enjoy it. 🙂 And yes, I will be publishing a YA Fantasy novel (hopefully next year) series title “V. Chronicles.” I’m editing it right now, and it’s a looot of work. 🙂

      • Wow! I’m a big YA junkie. I’ll add it to my anticipated reads for next year then. I don’t know the exact picture how difficult it is to finish a book but I can imagine it’s soooooo hard! Good luck!

        Always,
        One of your fans 😀

  5. You’ve got me curious – were you a military kid or was there another reason for the traveling lifestyle? And whereabouts were you in Italy? I attended 1st through half of 4th grade at Camp Darby near Florence. We lived in the little village of Cenaia.
