What’s Living Inside Us?

Nova Wonder’s episode about the microorganisms that live on and inside our bodies is a fascinating watch. I saw it when it aired on PBS, and until then didn’t really know much about microbes or how they affect our health.

It turns out that microbes are vital to our health, and yet scientists are only now beginning to learn about them and the ways they affect us. The cure for many diseases and illnesses that we currently can’t treat could lie within the science of microbes. If you want to watch this episode, it’s currently available here on PBS’s website: What’s Living Inside You. It’s amazing how complex and organized our bodies are, truly God’s work of art.

The episode can be a little squeamish at parts, just a heads up. 😉 Have you ever been curious about the microorganisms inside you and how they keep you healthy, or does the topic creep you out too much? Let’s chat in the comments!

  1. I like to know about stuff like that, but I am also extremely squeamish. I think it’s endlessly fascinating how much we still don’t know, even though we think of ourselves as advanced. It makes me wonder what else there is to discover in this world. 🙂
