Welcome to the virtual book tour for The Last Motley by Grace Award nominated author DJ Edwardson. I had the pleasure of beta reading this book, and it is a dear story for both young and old readers alike. I’ll let DJ take it from here, and introduce you to his latest fantasy novel and world:

Briar’s Glen

This sleepy little town is nestled in a shallow valley just below the Mithrin woods. The hundred or so cottages scattered around and beyond the market square house craftsmen and laborers of all types; cobblers, carpenters, butchers, blacksmiths, woodsmen, and tailors, though most residents make their living farming.

Situated in Vinyon Province at the eastern end of the Halicon Empire, the residents of Briar’s Glen know little of what goes on in the emporer’s court, much less the lands outside the empire. Theirs is a sheltered life with bad winters being the principle concern.

Being such a remote place, however, it might seem like the perfect place to flee to for someone who is not looking to be found…
