Too often I focus on the sad at the end, the goodbyes and farewells, the end of a fun trip or adventure, instead of being glad that it happened at all, and focus on the positive “glass is half full” side, So, this quote is a good reminder to do just that!

This quote really made me stop and think. So much emphasis is put on “saying something great,” or “doing something fantastic.” But what people actually remember, and what stands the test of time, is how you made them feel. That’s what sticks with them.

This is a sobering reminder of the affect our words can have. I know I’ve said things I regret, more than once; it’s too easy to do. Words have power, and they can be used to do harm or to heal, to show anger or to show love. It’s up to each of us how we use them. And while no one can fully control the tongue and its emotions, we can choose to do our best each day to be kind to others and to be a good example.

Seriously!? I’ll have to actually go back through my emails. I gotta be honest. I have been avoiding my email box. I can’t keep up with all the newsletters and blog posts. They are overwhelming my inbox and making it difficult to find actual regular emails. Crazylife for sure!

I have days like that too! Know the feeling. 🙂 Does your email separate the blog posts and newsletters from regular emails? It might only be on computers that Gmail does this (not on mobile devices), but it has separate tabs for regular, social, and news/stuff, and that has been a huge help for me in finding the emails I want to find right away.

Yeah. Gmail has inbox/social/promotional on the computer, but it assigns where it puts things kind of randomly. Some newsletters come straight to the inbox. Some go to promotional. Most blog posts for blogs I follow go to social and the ones that I assign “daily” and “weekly” in WP go to the inbox. Just emails sent to my address go to the inbox…It’s still a mess, even with this set up.

All three are great quotes, E. I agree with the Dr. Seuss one – it’s important that we remember to enjoy the journey, not just focus on the destination or the end of something. And I’ve never heard that Maya Angelou quote before… but Wow. Powerful, wise, and very true.
