Haikus: Drop of Life & At Peace

My haikus for RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Challenge–a fun activity and contest that is open for everyone to participate, and helps keep our creative writer’s mind active! This week’s words are: Life & Give.

“Drop of Life”
Every rain drop
The gift of life is planted,
Giving hope—death flees.

“At Peace”
Content, my soul leaves
Creator, giver of life,
At peace in Your hands.

  1. The first is hopeful, the second peaceful. Both good, as usually. I think I like the first best. The idea of planting a seed and watching it grow into something. Maybe it resonates with my writerly-ness. 🙂

  2. I’m with Phoenix – I also like the overall sense of calm in this week’s pieces, though they cover opposite topics. The first poem also reminds me of spring, which is my favorite season. Growth, life, and hope all go hand in hand. 🙂
