My haikus for RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Challenge–a fun activity and contest that is open for everyone to participate, and helps keep our creative writer’s mind active! This week’s words are: Start & Hot. I hope you enjoy.
“Race Track”
At the starting point
I race the track that is life,
Through hot, weary days.
~
“To Win”
Hot is the pressure
The Elf Lord furrows his brow,
The game of chess starts!

Thank you, Shailzaa! The words were more difficult this week.

The first sums up precisely how I feel sometimes. And the second I’m guessing is connected to your book? Both are good. 🙂

I’m glad you like these. The race is how I feel. The 2nd was for fun and unexpected. The word “hot” made me think of stress and pressure, like playing a game. 🙂

Loving haiku about elves here 🙂
They’re both good, and a creative use of the words (as usual)! Irrelevant fact: I stink at chess because I have the attention span of a gnat . . .
Nice ones this week!

Thanks so much, Rebekah! I couldn’t resist adding elves this round. 😉
I don’t know, when a gnat finds me its attention stays on me for a long time. 😉 j/k, I wonder how that phrase came to be, anyway? 😀
