Haikus: Race Track/To Win

My haikus for RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Challenge–a fun activity and contest that is open for everyone to participate, and helps keep our creative writer’s mind active! This week’s words are: Start & Hot. I hope you enjoy.

“Race Track”
At the starting point
I race the track that is life,
Through hot, weary days.

“To Win”
Hot is the pressure
The Elf Lord furrows his brow,
The game of chess starts!

How to read a haiku:
At the starting point, I race the track that is life,
I race the track that is life, Through hot, weary days.

    • Thanks so much, Rebekah! I couldn’t resist adding elves this round. 😉
I don’t know, when a gnat finds me its attention stays on me for a long time. 😉 j/k, I wonder how that phrase came to be, anyway? 😀
